Build your price

Most companies make you call to find out what this costs. Move the controls instead. This runs the same arithmetic as the booking tool, so the number you see is the number you book.

  • Can you come Saturday?Pick any date. Your local crew confirms the arrival window with you directly.
  • Stairs at both ends?Priced per end, right here, so the number does not move later: $60 for one flight up to $120 for four or more.
  • Do you bring it inside?Yes, to the room you want it in, not the curb. Blankets, straps and dollies come with the crew.
Three trucks

Hank picks the truck. You can overrule him.

The item you choose above sets the crew and vehicle. Everything else is added on top and shown on its own line, so you can see exactly what moved the number.

Distance between the two addresses$10 (to 10 mi) · $20 (25) · $40 (50) · $60 (75) · $80 (100)Billed in brackets; we measure the real route before a crew is dispatched.
Stairs at each end$60 one flight · $80 two · $100 three · $120 four or morePer end, because a third-floor pick-up and a ground-floor drop-off are not the same job as the reverse.
Heaviest piece$65 (50–150 lb) · $80 (150–300) · $125 (300+)Over 150 lb routes to a bigger crew automatically.
Number of pieces1–3 included · $50 (4–7) · $80 (8–12) · $120 (13+)Loading time, not distance.
Against the others

One number. It does not move.

Hourly movers and estimate-plus-fees apps leave the real price for after the job. We publish the arithmetic and let you run it before you type an address.

Store pick-ups

We collect it, you skip the trip.

Bought something too big to take home? Give us the store, the order number and the pickup window. We collect it and bring it inside, not to the curb.

Plus local showrooms and any supplier with a loading dock.

The job we do most

Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist and OfferUp pick-ups

You found the deal. The seller says pick up by Sunday, and it is a two-person carry down a flight of stairs. That is this. How Marketplace pick-ups work →

Send us both addresses

Seller’s address in, yours out. Gate code or apartment number goes in the notes so nobody is stuck at a callbox.

We handle the lift

Crews bring straps, blankets and dollies. Flag disassembly when you book if it will not clear the doorway.

Inside placement

Delivered to the room you want it in, not left at the curb.

Add to the same visit

We bring it. We build it.

Most things we deliver also need building. One crew can do both on a single visit, priced the same way as everything else here, before you book. Add the assembly on HandyBuddy and tell us in the notes above; the same crew takes both.

Four steps

How it works

This job has two ends, and nearly every surprise comes from one of them. Describe both well and the rest is just driving.

  1. Tell Hank the item

Pick it from the list. That sets the crew and the truck. Add the order number if a store is holding it.

  2. Describe both ends

Stairs, elevator, gate code, narrow doorway, tight driveway. This decides how many hands show up, and it is priced here, not on the day.

  3. See the whole price

Crew, distance, stairs and weight, itemised before you commit. Nothing due today. Then pick a date.

  4. We collect and place it

Your local crew confirms the window, texts when on the way, and sets it in the room you want it in.

Where we drive

Local crews, nationwide

The crew who shows up is based near you, not dispatched across a state line. Every city below has vetted HandyBuddy crews with trucks.

After you book

What happens next

Booking online should not mean wondering whether anyone saw it. Here is the whole of it.

  1. You get a confirmation

Straight away, with everything you entered: both addresses, the date, and the price you agreed to.

  2. A local crew takes the job

Not a call centre. The crew that shows up is based near you and sees the same details you filled in.

  3. They confirm your window

They contact you directly to lock the arrival time before the day, and text when they are on the way.

  4. If something goes wrong

Open a claim from your account under the Happiness Guarantee and we work it out with you and the crew.

Some jobs are priced on their own page

  • Take it apart, move it, put it back togetherA trampoline, playset or shed that has to be dismantled at one address and rebuilt at the other is priced on that item’s assembly page, delivery included.
  • Clearing out, not replacingA garage, an estate, a pile of old furniture with nothing coming in: that is haul-away.
  • Building what you already haveDelivered but still boxed? HandyBuddy assembly & installation covers it on its own.

Pick-up & delivery questions

How much does furniture pick-up and delivery cost?

Base pricing starts at $115 for one pro with a pick-up truck, $195 for two pros with a cargo van, and $350 for a two-to-three pro crew with a box truck. Distance, stairs at each end, the heaviest piece and the number of pieces are added on top and shown line by line before you book.

Do you charge for stairs at both ends?

Yes, and you set both in the price builder, so the number you book is final. Each end runs from $60 for one flight to $120 for four or more. Ground floor and elevator cost nothing extra.

What is due when I book?

Nothing due today. You see the price, a vetted crew confirms your window, and your card is charged after the job is done.

Do you offer same-day pick-up and delivery near me?

Same-day depends on local crew availability. Choose your preferred date when you book and your local crew confirms the arrival window with you directly.

Will you pick up items from Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist?

Yes. Enter the seller’s address as the pick-up location and yours as the drop-off. Add gate codes or apartment numbers in the notes so the crew can reach the door.

Can you deliver large items from Costco, IKEA, or Home Depot?

Yes. Store pick-ups are one of our most common jobs. Give us the store address, order number and pickup window, and the crew collects the item and brings it inside.

Do you handle heavy equipment like treadmills, pool tables, or safes?

Yes. Items over 150 lbs are routed to a larger crew automatically, and anything over 300 lbs carries a heavy-item add-on so the right number of hands arrives.

Can I book assembly along with my delivery?

Yes, and it is cheaper than booking separately because one crew makes one visit. Book the assembly on HandyBuddy and mention it in your delivery notes; the same crew takes both.

What is not included?

The item itself and any fees the seller or store charges; hoisting through windows or balconies; anything needing a lift or crane. Disposal of the old item is its own service: haul-away.
